Rigoberta Menchu

Three months before accepting the Nobel Peace Prize in October of 1992, Rigoberta Menchu delivered this historic address in Denver. It is simultaneously interpreted into English. She recounts the plight of the  Quiche-Maya during the Guatemalan Civil War. Her book, I, Rigoberta Menchu was an international bestseller. After receiving the Nobel Peace Prize, she went on to become UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador and continues to promote indigenous rights all over the world.
