But let's consider genetically altered food. This technology has gone on the consumer market largely untested. Independent studies have shown an array of potentially devastating outcomes, yet the FDA has not required further testing. Every industrialized nation in the world has banned or restricted the use of genetically altered foods, but not the U.S., where there aren't even labeling requirements. Why?
