Amartya Sen

Amartya Sen of India is one of the world’s most renowned economists. He is the winner of the Nobel Prize and the National Humanities Medal. He’s taught at Trinity College in the UK and Harvard. His influential work focuses on the root causes of poverty, social choice theory, and economic justice. Among his many books are Development as Freedom, The Argumentative Indian, Identity and Violence, and At Home in the World.
