Gerald Horne

Gerald Horne is Chair of History and African American Studies at the University of Houston. He specializes in the intersection of race, class, and power, with a focus on anti-colonialism and imperialism. Cornel West calls him “one of the great historians of our time.” He is the recipient of the American Book Award and the Frantz Fanon Lifetime Achievement Award. A prolific author, among his many books are Confronting Black Jacobins and The Apocalypse of Settler Colonialism.
