Michael Manley
Michael Manley of Jamaica was one of the Third World’s most articulate and visionary voices. He was Jamaica’s Prime Minister in 1972 -1980 and 1989 -1992. He received numerous honors including the UN Special Award for contribution to the struggle against apartheid. Among his many books are: Jamaica: Struggle in the Periphery, Global Challenge, and Poverty of the Nations. He died in 1997.
