Creating a New Political Agenda
More and more citizens are turned off by traditional party politics. Voter participation in elections, with a few exceptions, steadily declines. There is a palpable sense that the political system is not responsive to people’s needs. Like the national debt, the pile of domestic problems mounts. The time is ripe for a new political agenda.

Bernie Sanders is a former four-time Mayor of Burlington, an eight-term member of the U.S. House of Representatives and a U.S. Senator from Vermont since 2007. This makes him the longest-serving independent in Congress ever. Sanders is a New York Times Best-Selling Author. His books include Our Revolution, and Where We Go From Here. He is currently seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination for president in the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
