Steve Ellner

Steve Ellner is a leading expert on Venezuela. He taught economic history and political science at the Universidad de Oriente in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela, for many years. His articles have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, In These Times, The New York Times, and other newspapers and periodicals. He is Associate Managing Editor of the journal Latin American Perspectives and serves on the advisory board of Science & Society. He is the author of Rethinking Venezuelan Politics: Class, Conflict, & the Chavez Phenomenon.
