Weapons in Space: Taking the Offensive
A year and a half before the 9/ 11th attacks, the CIA testified before the Senate that the US is more likely to be attacked from non-missile delivery means than with missiles. Any attack would most likely come from a non-state entity. In other words, Bush’s resurrected trillion dollar space-based anti-missile program, Star Wars, won’t address America’s real security concerns. What will Star Wars accomplish? While it may edge the US closer to the nefarious goal of full-spectrum dominance, it also sets the stage for a whole new arms race.
