Transnational corporations are, in some instances, bigger and more powerful than nations. Free trade agreements have enhanced corporate power while undermining the ability of workers to defend their jobs. However, all over the world people are organizing and resisting. The shape and contours of that struggle will determine the global economy in the 21st century.
